Sloan’s Christmas Tree Village and U-Cut

Plan Your Day

Thank you for considering a visit to Sloan's Christmas Tree Village and U-Cut.  The Sloan families have worked hard for the past 30 years to provide a quality Christmas tree for this very special holiday season.  In recent years, we have begun to provide wholesome family activities to compliment your tree cutting experience.  Our desire is to become an annual tradition for your family.

To simply cut a tree, bale it and head back to your car, as you would do at Village 2 will take only about an hour.  However, to experience Village 1 with its many activities and patches of trees could take up to a whole day.

Here are some tips to help you make the most of your day:

  1. Arrive as early as you can.  The door opens at 9am and closes at 4pm.  We do not permit customers to stay in the Village later than 4:45pm because it gets dark early in December and even earlier when you are in the forest.
  2. You may start your own campfire at a site that suits your group size if there isn't one already lit.  We have 200 campfire sites available.
  3. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages, but food vendors are present.  We do sell marshmallows at the Cookie Shack, but no longer provide roasting sticks.
  4. For safety and legal reasons, alcohol is not permitted on the farm.
  5. We have permitted dogs on the farm in the past, but their presence creates a safety risk to the many small children who attend.  Please leave your pets at home as they will no longer be permitted in the Villages.
  6. Tree wheelers are available outside the barn to help you carry your tree around. Please return yours to the front when you are done with it.  Please do not keep it at your campsite or take it into the parking lot.
  7. We do have a limited number of saws, but if you have one, we recommend you bring it with your name on it.
  8. We do not have facilities for credit or debit cards, nor do we take cheques.  Cash only.
  9. Please wear appropriate clothing.  This is a farm and it can be very cold, especially when you are in the forest.
  10. Be careful not to confuse us with the other Sloan enterprises in the area.  We are known as either Sloan's Christmas Tree Village or Emerald Acres Inc.
