Sloan's Christmas Tree Village and U-Cut is a 250-acre farm near Bothwell, Ontario, approximately 30 km east of Chatham. The farm is owned and operated by John Sloan and his family who has preserved the 110-acre forest and farmed Christmas trees on the surrounding farmland for over 50 years along with his father and brother.
Though the farm is currently being used to grow Christmas trees for wholesale and retail purposes, its retail operation is what it is widely known for. Over 4000 families come annually to cut their own tree and enjoy a dozen or more activities, such as a mini train, mazes, horse and wagon rides, cookie decorating and more. The year 2007 was the Sloan's 16th year of operating the village and u-cut on its current site and they look forward to many more in the future.
As well as Christmas tree production, the farm has been developed as an education and activity centre for school-age children. The unique blend of farming, forestry and fun activities makes Sloan's Christmas Tree Village and U-Cut an outstanding tour destination. (See our school tour page).
The farm is also available to companies or groups looking for a unique family-oriented place to bring their staff and staff families. We provide a wide range of activities for families to enjoy during the Christmas season. (See our corporate party page.)
For our wholesale buyers, we provide an excellent selection of firs and spruce trees at very competitive prices. (See our wholesale buyer page.)
